no more tv-links.co.uk
November 6th, 2007 by wozogThey shut down tv-links.co.uk down late october due to piracy. I have a question…why do sites like youtube make billions when a 26 brit gets arrested for just linking to sites that have the pirated videos? It just doesn’t seem fair to me. It sucks that big corporations can break the law and have lawyers to take care of them when the average joe gets arrested for the same thing. Actually he didn’t even host the content…he just linked to it. Does that mean any website owner that links to a youtube clip can get thrown in the slammer? Youtube has copyrighted material and if it didn’t its would be as popular as it is.

I have to agree. I don’t understand it.
Same goes for Public Domain movies… I have an old blog Great Classic Movies that has a couple of movies (one is the original version of the new I Am Legend) Youtube doesn’t allow them because they are more than ten minutes long - this is to stop piracy! but you can see plenty of Family Guy though… just not free movies!!
